Lambing Barn and Baby Farm Animals
This is an exciting time of the year here at Govin's. We invite you to come and enjoy our farm babies. Our farm offers a hands on experience with friendly and loving farm animals. Children as well as adults will be able to have interaction with our animals. You will be able to hold and feed the animals or just enjoy seeing lambs nursing and bouncing around their mothers.
While you are here you can learn more about our animals from our staff or by reading all the signs up around the barn. It may even be possible to witness birth while you are here. Some of the animals to see include sheep, lambs, pigs, piglets, goats, kids (baby goats), chicks, alpacas and ponies. Our motto is, if it fits in your lap we will help you hold it. There are pony rides (weather permitting). When you need a break from the barn, join us in the store and watch wool spinners (when available) and see what they can make out of wool. All activities will be in the barn, rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Bring the family and don't forget your camera. |

"My
husband, niece, granddaughter and I visited your wonderful barn last weekend. I
am a 67 year old who has never held a baby pig, lamb or goat so this was quite
an experience. My family had a great time but I think I had the best! I fell in
love with one of your baby goats and am coming back tomorrow to see him or her
tomorrow. It was so cute. Thank you for having this incredible place for people
of any age to come and enjoy God's precious little ones."
"After visiting my parents in Central Wisconsin, I was returning to Minneapolis on 94 Saturday & passed
the first Menomonie exit, saw the Govins Lambing Barn sign & decided to stop for a Lambing Barn Tour. I have read “All Creatures Great & Small” & all of the James Herriot books at least once. My husband & I have stayed at farmhouse Bed & Breakfasts in England and I’ve had the privilege of helping with the bottle feeding of lambs. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience at your farm yesterday-may even bring some friends along next Saturday. Thanks very much for the special experience."
