Our Animals Graze Their Grasses Off! We now ship our meats! Here at Govin's we raise all natural, antibiotic, and hormone free animals. Our animals are raised in a safe, natural stress-free environment. Our lean, natural Angus steers spend their days in the open air and sunshine leisurely grazing the lush green 55 acres of pastures at our family farm. Flavor and tenderness are enhanced with corn fed only at finishing, and through the aging process prior to packaging. The Angus are butchered at a small, state inspected, immaculate local shop where the Angus are taken care of promptly and with minimal stress. You find our beef remarkably tender and flavorful. Since our livestock are primarily pasture raised, the nutritional benefit list is impressive. Research has shown grass-fed meat to be significantly higher than grain fed in beta carotene, lecithin omega 3 fatty acid, and vitamin E. In addition higher levels of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) are found.
Beef is available year round at the farm or you can also find us at the Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market at Phoenix Park. Store Hours: Tuesday 2-6, Thursday 2-6, Friday 9-noon, Saturday 9-noon. Other days and times by appointment or chance.
